Surfing Turtle Lodge is located in the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua, Central America. Nicaragua’s international airport is located in it’s capital, Managua.

Directions
Address:
2 kilometers north from the tip of Los Brasiles Island, Poneloya, Nicaragua.
From Managua:
Take a taxi to the UCA (Univercity of Central America) bus terminal. From there, hop on one of the minivans that go to Leon. The depart every 30 minutes or once full.
From Leon:
Once in Leon, take a taxi to “El Mercadito” in Sutiaba. From there, hop on a Bus and head to Poneloya. All of the buses in “El Mercadito” go to Poneloya, so don’t worry about getting on the wrong bus. They depart every hour on the hour from 7am to 5pm.
Once in Poneloya:
Get off at the when you reach the river mouth in Poneloya. You’ll know where that is because the bus turns around to go to Las Penitas, another beach town nearby.
There, you’ll see a big Surfing Turtle Lodge sign that will lead you to our Reception Kiosk, a short walk from the bus stop.
Our Reception Kiosk is a big yellow house. Once there, ask for our boat captain Daniel and he will take you across the river (a 5 minute boat ride) to Isla Los Brasiles. Follow the signs walking along the island for about 10 minutes and you will arrive at our beachfront lodge or call us before you cross over and we’ll have a horse carriage waiting for you at the dock.
